We have extensive real-world know-how in handling and storing commodities safely and successfully gained through our own experience.

1850’s
German immigrant Jacob Stern arrives in America. He begins trading hides on the docks of Philadelphia.
1900’s
Jacob Stern’s grandsons join the company to expand the Tallow business and maintain the hide business.
1960’s
The Tallow business expands to the Midwest, Texas and the West Coast.
2000’s
Today Jacob Stern & Son’s is one of the largest processors and marketers of Tallow in the world.
